Crab Pizza

  • 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
  • Dash or 2 hot pepper sauce, optional
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup seafood sauce

  • 1 can crab meat, drained

  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • Crackers or nachos

Mix cream cheese, lemon juice and hot pepper sauce until well blended and soft. Spread on a serving plate. Top with seafood sauce. Break crab meat over top. Arrange tomato and green pepper on top of crab.

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over all. Can be served immediately or made ahead, covered and refrigerated. Serve with your favourite crackers or nachos.

Variations: Substitute shrimp or tuna for crab meat. Substitute salsa for seafood sauce, crab, tomato and green pepper. Add ½ cup sour cream or plain yogurt to cream cheese for softer base.

Note: Can also use light cream cheese.
