Loaded Biscuits

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 ¼ cups grated sharp cheddar cheese

  • 3 Tbsp finely chopped green onions

  • ⅓ cup cooking oil
  • ¾ cup cold milk

Measure flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl. Stir well. Add cheese and onions, stirring to mix. Add cooking oil and milk. Stir to form soft ball. Turn out onto lightly floured surface and knead 8 to 10 times. Pat out dough to ¾ inch thickness. Cut with 2 inch round cookie cutter. Arrange on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes, until browned. Makes 12.
