Breakfast Power Bars

  • ½ cup whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup quick cooking rolled oats
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup cooking oil

  • ¼ cup applesauce

  • 3 Tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ¾ cup chopped dried mixed fruit
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts

Stir together flour, oats, baking soda and cinnamon. Combine oil, applesauce, honey and vanilla. Stir applesauce mixture into flour mixture. Stir in chopped fruit and nuts. Put into greased pan (preferably sprayed with Pam). Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut into bars.
