Ice Cream Pie

  • 1 ¼ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup crushed walnuts
  • ½ to 1 L vanilla ice cream

  • ½ jar chocolate sauce

  • 16 to 18 large marshmallows
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 3 egg whites
  • 6 Tbsp sugar

Mix the first 4 ingredients. Press into pie plate. Bake at 375°F for 5 minutes. Cool completely. Alternate layers of ice cream and chocolate sauce. Return to freezer while making meringue.

Melt marshmallows with water. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar and beat until really stiff. Fold in melted marshmallows. Put on top of ice cream and broil until lightly browned. Freeze immediately.
