  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 3 Tbsp cocoa
  • ½ tsp vanilla

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ cup chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup flaked coconut
  • 1 ½ cups rolled oats

In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, milk and cocoa. Bring just to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and salt. In a bowl, combine nuts, coconut and rolled oats. Stir in cocoa mixture. Cover baking sheet with wax paper. Drop mixture by teaspoonsful onto wax paper. Chill until set. Yield: 3 dozen.
