Sweet and Sour Mushroom Steak

  • 2 lb round steak, cut into small pieces
  • 3 tsp oil
  • 3 tsp flour
  • 2 cups cold water
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp soya sauce

  • ½ tsp pepper

  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 Tbsp vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup green pepper, cut up
  • 1 can mushrooms

Fry steak in oil until browned. Mix flour, water, ketchup, soya sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, vinegar and sugar in a container. Shake well. Add to steak and bring to a boil. Add onion and simmer until meat is tender. Add green pepper and mushrooms and simmer for another 15 to 20 minutes. Serve over rice.
